Elvira Caria is an Award Winning Multi Platform Broadcast Journalist and International Voice Actor who has never met a microphone she wasn’t comfortable in front of. She is one of the most sought out Emcee’s and Voice Actors in the media industry. She is currently the Host of Caria’s Corner, a completely social and interactive Live on Location Social Media Remote Broadcast. She has appeared on literally hundreds of local TV shows, panels, forums and events, including, the Host of Miss Universe Canada a few years back, and broadcast live to hundreds of thousands of fans during Toronto’s SarsFest in 2003.
When not on stage, Elvira shares her extensive knowledge of Media & Communications as a Professor at Humber College’s School of Media Studies.
Elvira has sat on a number of charity boards, where her philanthropic and volunteer side has garnered her a slew of awards, including the City of Vaughan Civic Hero award, The Portraits of Giving in York Region, and even has a street named after her: Caria Court. for her dedicated contribution as the Chair of a Ratepayer’s Association in Vaughan.

Her career in print, radio, and television spans 30+ years, with the majority of her time spent in a newsroom as a news reporter, to editor, to news director across Ontario.
Elvira began her career as a news reporter for The Toronto Sun, and quickly moved into a radio newsroom where she worked as a reporter, editor, and eventually became a News Director in Toronto. Elvira has covered hundreds of news stories across Southern Ontario, from missing children, to serial killers Paul Bernardo & Karla Homolka. Her court case coverage of various cases has also garnered Elvira an award for Media Integrity & Fairness. Her political reporter days have included interviews with Leaders of Political parties, to Prime Ministers.
While at Corus radio, Elvira was known as the ‘radio chick’ who knows the homeless guys by name. She talks to EVERYONE! Her compassion and belief in listening to people’s stories has made Elvira one of the GTA’S most loved Radio & TV On-Air Personalities. Elvira has worked across Ontario in various radio stations, from talk to rock, including AM640, and Toronto’s Rock Station Q107, and the former morning show girl on Z103.5
She returned to terrestrial radio during COVID19 Pandemic with her radio talk show The Rush Hour where she interviewed a whopping 600 segments in just 18 months!
